*'diletto' literally translates to delight however, poetically this is also used here to mean my love/my delight.
*'notturna face'- is a poetic way of saying the night's face and therefore is associated with the moon.
*'i furti miei seconda' cannot be easily translated literally from Italian into English however, it is used here to suggest that the night helps to steal/conceal Susanna's true identity from the count.
